 　 A mouse antiserum against A. culbertsoni demonstrates ameba bodies clustered around vessels (immunostaining after heating pretreatment). Antibodies against A. polyphaga, A. castellani and Entamoeba histolytica failed to identify the pathogens. Opportunistic infection by A. culbertsoni was thus confirmed.
